Long term effect of recovering from covid is fatigue. Lots of it, haha…

Awhile ago, I made the 4 starter Pokémon for my daughter’s 1-yr “doljabi” (a Korean tradition where they choose an item- or in this case, Pokémon- that will indicate their future).

I finally came back to write out the pattern and instead… came out with something completely new😅

Which do you like better? Should I include instructions in the pattern for assembling both? Hmm

Woke up feeling tons better. Good start to #2022 !

My goal is to create at least 5 patterns by other artists this year. Sometimes, designing takes up everything and I forget to enjoy!

Fun fact - I was super mesmerized by @bigbebez ADORABLE animals back when I first learned how to crochet (2018). I remember thinking to myself… there’s no way I’ll ever be able to make that! But that’s the beauty of it 😅 it’s quite simple to pick up on. I’m so glad I got around to finally make this chubby squirrel and meet the lovely designer behind it.

Thanks for all the love you gave to our little guy! He was meant to be a super simple design. (Sometimes, the challenge is with not over complicating things!) I love how different he came out simply by adjusting the yarn weight.

Many of you helped me with great suggestions for what to do for his hat! I hit a serious creative block and decided to publish it without it. Until I update the pattern, this orange just seems *right* 💁🏻‍♀️

T-2 days until Christmas!🎄

It’s been a bit drizzly and cold here in the Bay Area but I’m happy to be spending this break on a staycation.

The holidays weren’t always the happiest times for my family growing up (as we rarely did anything special together/times were chaotic). I remember feeling anxiety over the loneliness that would creep up without fail each year. If that’s you, pls remember you are not alone and that you are loved!

Fast forward a few years… I’m glad to be creating new holiday traditions with the ones who do bring me joy in our little nuclear family. I wanna do all the cheesy stuff I didn’t in the past like bake cookies, watch holiday movies, and more.

My toddler picked out a gingerbread decorating kit at her daycare 😆 so I guess that’ll also be a part of our family bonding festivities. I’m thankful to God each day for bringing healing and renewal into my life!

I’m officially beginning to feel the holiday cheer now that my nausea is subsiding 🎄

one gives a chibi look and the other a more realistic feel. I’m torn!
