Rnd 9: (8 sc, dec) x 2 [18]

Change to red yarn. Don't fasten off the black.

The next rnd will have two parts. This will create a straighter stripe instead of a zig-zagged one.

Change to black yarn. Stuff well.

Use the invisible finish and weave the tail in. [img 9]

SCARF - part A (in color of your choice, 10 mm hook)

Row 1: ch 43. sc into the second ch from the hook. sc all the way down the row. [42]

Row 2-3 (2 rows total): sc all around [42]

Fasten off and leave a tail for weaving in. [img 9]

SCARF - part B

*Note: This loop will allow the scarf to be fastened onto the snowman without having to tie it into a knot.

Row 1: ch 10 and slst into the first st to create a loop. Make sure it isn't twisted. sc all around. [10]

Row 2-3 (2 rows total): sc all around [10]

Fasten off and leave a tail for weaving in. Slip it onto part A. This will be used to secure the scarf around the neck. [img 9]

With that, you're finished! I hope you enjoyed this fun, holiday-themed project. What other colorful combinations can you come up with?
